CSCS Detection of Underground Service

Who should attend: All those involved in detection and avoidance of Underground Services. Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006, this training is mandatory under the Construction Regulations 2006.The course is designed to make participants aware of the dangers involved in excavating It will also train delegates in the use of cable detection equipment and to detect and avoid most buried services.
Training centre in Mayo.We carry out public and private courses in Mayo,Galway, Sligo and Roscommon.
We can also travel to your workplace if required.



Course content:
• Overview of relevant legislation and Codes of Practice
• Risk Assessment and preparation of work
• Safe system of work
• Introduction to locate & detection equipment-functional checks
• Practical on site location of underground services
• Practical exercises incorporating all associated equipment
• Safe digging techniques
• Correct maintenance and storage of equipment
Course Duration: 2 days
Participation: maximum of 8
Certification: FAS QQI Certification which is valid for 5 years
